I had trouble focusing this photo because of the constantly moving waves and the weather wasn't ideal either.

My biggest problem with this shot was capturing enough light because it was so dark, that is why I chose to totally underexpose the trees and focus on the sky color.

Pro: You have a great eye for blending textures so that it isn't to much but just enough that it keeps your attention, and creates a great aspect.
ReplyDeleteCon: On some photos i noticed that the editing almost makes the photo overexposed and to bright. Theres some horizons that need straightening and can add a better completion to your photo.
These photo's had a really nice, dark theme. You are very good at finding things that people would enjoy seeing. The contrast in many of the pictures is very eye-catching and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA couple of these photos could be improved by straightening the horizon line, and trying to make the focal point a little more sharp.
Great collection over all :)
What I thought of your photos was that its texture and contrast of everything was fantastic! The only critic part is be careful on how you align your photos and keep a steady hand while shooting, but overall, you did an magnifient job! ^~^
ReplyDeleteI like how your pictures have a dark feeling to it and how you framed your photos. I think you could focus more and adjust the exposure.
ReplyDeleteYou did a really good job and have a good eye for taking one color and having variations of that giving your photos a more downcast lighting. I like that. You have a good eye for textures though, From soft mud looking sand or the defined veins on a leave. I also saw how you took these photos from stacey's pictures on FB so I appreciate the lengths you went to capture the shots. I would say though, maybe don't take pictures in a moving car and watch out for the horizons of waters to make sure they are straight. Really well done!
ReplyDeleteKelsey, I think you did a good job with your composition in your project. You chose beautiful subjects and you portrayed them in unique way. I aslo appreciated how your personal creativity came out through your project. You made your photos stand out and you made them different and unique. I think in a few photos there was one or two things that were a little distracting from your main focus. Like in the last photo, the back branch is a little distracting, Also I think you could touch up some of the shadows in your photos. Some of the shadows just came out a little too dark. Overall, you did a good job.
ReplyDeleteI think you did a very excellent job with your photos. I liked that you paid attention to detail, and that you shot whenever you could. Some of your photos were underexposed, and some could have been slightly straighter. But I loved all your photos and photos 1,2, and 7 are my favourites.
ReplyDeleteYou have amazing photography skills. One of them that stands out to me is your taste in editing. I can tell you're really passionate about shooting and have the perfect balance of confidence and self criticism. I love the first one so much! You're blacks seemed a bit over saturated so maybe you could work on exposure.
ReplyDeleteYour project was defiantly one of my favorites. I loved the feel of all your pictures and the darkness of them. They were all very crisp. I liked your first and last photos. They really stood out for me. Some of your greens were a bit yellowish but overall i loved all your photos!
ReplyDeleteKelsy your photographs came to life and made me feel like I was there, the ocean one was wonderful and beautiful on every way possible! I really enjoyed your presentation and the way you were so open for flaws I think that is a wonderful quality and something that some people have a hard time with even myself at times. I think that one thing that you could do next time to make your photograph better time is really bringing out the greens and the colors to make the picture come out more. One other thing that I think that would be good to remember is don't be afraid to keep things the way they are and not crop. You can always take way but you can't always get it back. You did a wonderful job and I can't wait to see some more of your work! :)
