Sadly this week we had 3 even days which means we are lacking time in our odd period classes. Since odd period days are my favorite this has made me sad.
What I've done this week though is work on my editing skills. I am working on making more small adjustments than making fewer radical ones, I have also started using the tool that allows you to manipulate one specific section and I have found that very helpful! Just this monday I was able to totally erase a power line from a shot of a stop-sign and I was kind of surprised by my own ability to do so! I have only used that tool one other time but I can see myself using it a lot more in the future. My goal this quarter is to be able to edit a photo in the most efficient way possible but to still have the photo be at it's highest possible quality. Happy Thursday everyone!
Make a blog Joesph said; it'll be fun Joseph said. Just kidding! This is a photography blog as well as a whatever I want to post on here blog. Feel free to browse through.

Valentines Thursday!
Happy 2 week late Valentines day!!! This year Valentines day happened to also be the day that I was legally able to drive people. I had all these great plans with friends but as the date grew closer the excuses were thrown at me like eggs 'Family Birthday' 'Basketball Game' 'Homework' and I ended up giving up on this whole fun friend night. As of this day I have only driven about 5 people. 3 friends and one a complete stranger who was a cousin of one of my 3 friends. After the reality of gas money shows up driving isn't nearly as fun. My gas station sells one gallon of regular for $3.69 , you may think that is a lot but there is only a certain brand of gas I buy (as dumb as that may sound. I have about a 10-15 gallon tank. My car gets 26.4 MPG and I get $50 a month for gas. According to googlemaps my house is 4 miles from school, there and back is approximately 8 miles a day. If you count the average 4 weeks in every month, 5 of them being school days that comes out to 40 miles a week at least. Which is a little under 2 gallons per week times 4 which is 8 gallons. So as you see unless you're rich or have an expendable amount of money for gas driving isn't that great. If I ever move to the city, I'd probably invest in public transit instead. This has nothing to do with photography but it was what I was thinking about on Valentines day which is when that post was due so it counts....... right?
Sorry I've missed Thursday
Going back a few weeks I realize my thursday thoughts have been lacking. The whole point of this is to talk about what we've done in photography. Lately all I've done is editing and discussions and I truly don't feel it's relevant to the main purpose of Thursday thoughts. I have decided to start paying more attention and keeping tabs of things as well as setting a weekly reminder in my phone that says 'HEY! It's Thursday. That means you should go write a post before you forget!' I'm sure this will help a bit ;)

Class Exercise
This lovely little photo was taken by my girl Kaitlyn. We were able to meet some nice fireman and exchange waves, they seemed fairly friendly! For this I took away all saturation except for yellow, orange, and red obviously ;)
I took this photo and decided that due to the lack of color in the photo overall it was best to go with a black and white base and adjust the shades rather than the color overall.
The ever talented Zac took this gem from a perspective I've never even thought of! I looked at him strangely as he was laying on the cement, camera focused on the old, cracked curb but he knee that it was beautiful and he was right!

Thursday Thoughts x 2 on a Sunday
It is 11:19 PM and it has occured to me that I haven't done a thursday thought in 2 weeks. I thought to myself for a while why this is so it occured to me that I haven't shared anything because I've learned nothing worth babling to you about.
This entire school year for me has been about self discovery which is a journey I for one choose not to share with other people. Of the few things I have learned none of them are of enough worth or importance to write about, plus I don't want to share them.
This has been my late sunday night thoughts but I consider it significant enough to count for 2 Thursdays.
